Anderthals Slot Review: Features, Number of Reels & Bonuses

Anderthals Slot Review. Nobody has ever questioned Swedish game company Just For The Win's talent for creating visually appealing games, and it appears that their target demographic—soccer moms?

Under the hood, though, things haven't been quite as exciting because we've been given what almost feels like a recycled mathematical model—and a rather bad one at that. We have little faith that things have changed when we look at the specifications of their most recent release.

This time, we travel way back in time to meet Andy and Annie Anderthal, a charming couple. The stars of JFTW's newest slot, Anderthals Slot, are these two troglodytes with clubs and animal skin clothing. They are the kind of people that eat enormous pieces of dinosaur ribs around the campfire and keep dinosaurs as pets. It does have a Flintstones-like feel about it.

The gaming world is, if anything, even more rudimentary than Fred's was because it hasn't yet developed cars that run on human power. Although the two Anderthals and the slot seem adorable, their affable activities belie yet another very volatile slot from Just For The Win.

With disappointing payouts for the risky venture. It's encouraging to see the developer stepping up their game in one area, but it's unfortunate that the rest of the slot is far behind and still catching up.

Of course, "Anderthals Slot" is a witty abbreviation for "Neanderthals." Those "cavemen" coexisted for a long time with early humans, possibly interbreeding and leaving part of their DNA behind to this day. Players can expect a game with a prehistoric setting that is full of dinosaurs and volcanoes. We all know that dinosaurs and humans did not genuinely coexist, but a little artistic license never harmed anyone.

Just for the Win has once again created a visually appealing slot with a cartoonish, dreamy aesthetic that is reminiscent of the film The Good Dinosaur. A grid with 5 reels, 4 rows, and 40 fixed paylines serves as the stage for the action. An RTP of 96.12% is generated using a very volatile mathematical model, as previously explained. For those outcomes, the game has undergone thorough testing; more on it in the verdict.

To travel back in time, players must first select a wager between 10 cents and £/€100 every spin. To win, you must line up combinations of three or more matching symbols on a payline. The table's standard pay symbols are three premiums and three rough-hewn stone-cut royals (J–A).

Andy, Annie, and the logo, which is worth 32 times the bet for five of a kind, are among these rewards. The wild, which can replace any pay sign, completes the set of regular symbols. It typically comes in a 1x1 tile size, although certain characteristics allow for expansion. Find out about the erek erek knife, so that there will be more references to winning in gambling.

Anderthals Slot: Features

Along with a round of free spins, Anderthals Slot offers a number of random features. Every time the reels are spun, a horizontal line of 5 spaces just above them reveals new features or enhancements. Each of these, referred to as Feature Spots, corresponds to the reel beneath it.

The feature symbol is a flaming torch, and if two or more of them appear on a spin, they trigger the feature spots above them. These unique benefits apply to a variety of various Feature Spots:

  • When the spin is finished, a 1x or 2x the bet prize is given out, correspondingly.
  • Any expanding wilds that land underneath these active Feature Spots will spread out to fill the entire reel.
  • Extra Wilds: Below this active Feature Spot, more wild symbols are added to the reel.
  • Any wild symbols on the active reels are multiplied by x2 or x3 by the wild x2 or wild x3 feature, respectively. On the same spin, neither Wild x2 nor Wild x3 can appear.
  • Respins: During the base game, this triggers a bonus round featuring Expanding Wilds, Wild x2, and Wild x3 features. Only one respin is permitted every spin, and the respin cannot initiate new features.
  • The free spins bonus round is initiated by receiving free spins.

8 free spins are awarded when one free spins spot is active, and 2 more free spins are added to the round for each additional free spins spot that is active. All feature locations that were active when the bonus round was initiated continue to be active throughout the free spins. If you want accurate reviews of various lottery games, read more here.

Anderthals Slot: Verdict

Just for the Win has one again astonished by turning up the variance, much like their previous offering Treasure Skyland. It's unfortunate that the remainder of the game couldn't have been turned up to match it.

Now, things are actually not that awful for low-rollers because the design permits wins of more than 11,000 times the stake when playing at the normal 0.10 bet. High rollers, however, may not find the game to be as lucrative because the maximum payout is 2,219 times the initial wager.

Naturally, it is extremely difficult to reach either of those figures given that they were reached after 110 billion simulated rotations. Or, to put it another way, don't hold your breath; the next ice age will probably come before you have a huge pay day. Knowing that, any appeal the Anderthals may have once had vanishes as soon as the dinosaurs did on the day of the collision.

Even so, Just for the Win creates visually appealing games and is aware of its target market. They are counting on players from both the European and Asian markets to be attracted to Anderthals Slot. The alternate Chinese Logo icon found in various game versions serves to illustrate this goal. A cuteness that attracts the eye and a few mechanics to keep them spinning can sway some punters.

One is about 1 in 5 spins hitting consistently. Second, two scatters should theoretically appear on average once every 25 spins. Whenever they do so, Feature Spots are activated. The problem is that the modifiers aren't really unique and aren't likely to have a significant impact on a session.

Overall, Anderthals Slot is yet another attractive member of the Just for the Win cast, which is more flash than substance. However, it has all the necessary components to blow their target market away thanks to its abundance of features and consistent strike rate. Otherwise, there is no incentive to look for Anderthals to play with unless you are utterly enamored with the idea of dinosaur and human cohabitation.
